A Walk Inside the Poem's Room - 10:30 AM
About this event
We had such a lovely morning sharing poems last year, that we want to do it again...
Whether you feel like you understand poetry or not, you're welcome to be a part of this "walk inside the poem's room", a reference to a Billy Collins' poem. Bring a published poem by a known author that you'd like to share, preferably one that we didn't read last time. (The poems are listed below.) The poem you share can be funny, sad, happy, tantalizing...whatever you like.
Please send the poem you'd like to share to Jo-Ann Smith by Friday, March 20 so she can provide the collection of poems to the group.
Here are the poems we shared last time:
"Introduction to Poetry" by Billy Collins
"The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost
"The Men That Don't Fit In" by Robert W. Service
"Lonely Owl" by Nicole Stellon O'Donnell
"If" by Rudyard Kipling
"Dover Beach" by Matthew Arnold
"Antigonish (I met a man who wasn't there)" by Hughes Mearns
"Forgetfulness" by Billy Collins
"Wild Geese" by Mary Oliver
"Paul Revere's Ride" by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
